2007 Mercury Grand Marquis Wiper Pivot Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the Wiper Pivot and mounting arm on 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis?
A: You should start servicing the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft by taking out the cowl grille. First unscrew the two nuts from the evaporative emission canister purge valve before placing it with care while you tighten it to 6 Nm (53 lb-in) when reinstalling it. Remove the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft by taking out their six bolts before put them in position while tightening the bolts to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). The wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft removal requires disconnecting both the windshield wiper motor electrical connector and windshield washer hose. Finished installation requires the reverse sequence of uninstallation steps.
