Right-hand splash shield security is maintained by tightening its 5 bolts to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.) before reattaching the shield. The first step requires uninstalling the oil level indicator before you remove the two bolts securing the oil level indicator tube. These bolts need 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) torque when reinstalling the tube. Replace the old O-ring seal from the oil level indicator tube with a new one that requires engine oil lubrication before reinstalling the tube following its removal process.
