How to Service and Repair the Lower Front Motor and Transmission Mount on 2007 Mercury Mariner?

Start the transaxle support insulator service by putting the vehicle on a hoist with neutral transmission position. The first step involves removing 7 retainers from the left-hand splash shield and its subsequent separation followed by dissolving 4 bolts holding the cross brace in position. Begin by removing the bolt that attaches the mount to its place and the two brace bolts from their position before removing the rear bolt and the brace. The complete removal of the mount depends on unbolting its two retaining fasteners. The new mount receives installation by securing it to the cross brace with bolts that you should tighten to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.). Secure the cross brace in position by adding the nut then tighten it to 175 Nm (129 ft. lbs.). First, install the 2 cross brace bolts then tighten them to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.) while proceeding by installing the mount through bolt which reaches full torque at 120 Nm (89 ft. lbs.). Place the cross brace back into position and tighten its 4 bolts to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.). After that, install the left-hand splash shield along with its 7 retainers and tighten them to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
