How to Service the EGR Valve on 2007 Mercury Mariner?

In order to service EGR valve, raise the vehicle and empty the cooling system. Unscrew the air cleaner outlet pipe, hose connectors and electrical connector of the EGR valve and unbolt the valve. Install the new valve, tightening to 20 Nm, and reverse the steps and be sure to fill and bleed the cooling system.
