- Q: How to service and repair the front seat cushion on 2008 Ford Crown Victoria?A: Service repairs on front seat cushions start with positioning the front seat for access to fasteners along with depowering the SRS. Service on the front seat begins with seat removal and if working on a passenger seat incorporating an occupant classification sensor (OCS) the sensor must be taken off first. Move to the next task by uninstalling both the front seat backrest along with the seat track. First remove power lumbar bezels at their tab locations by prying them and disconnect the electrical switch connector of the lumbar system afterward. Remove all retainers from the cushion trim cover which consist of J-clips and pin-type mechanisms. To perform heater seat service, start by disconnecting the cushion heater mat along with heated seat module electrical connectors followed by unlocking and removing the heated seat module bracket. To work on the armrest you should start by removing its two pin covers and retaining clip before taking out the pin and armrest and trim cover followed by arming the three bolts and bracket. Start the removal procedure by removing the cushion frame followed by removing any essential pushpins or cushion mat. This step can be followed by placing the mat aside. Extract the foam pad seat cushion trim cover together with the flexolator from the cushion frame.
