How to service and repair the Steering Shaft on 2008 Ford Crown Victoria?

In order to fix the steering column shaft, turn off the SRS and make sure that the steering wheel is straight. Do not allow the rotation during disconnection so as not to destroy Clock Springs. Also remove old bolts and install new ones with new tightening to required torque. Lastly, re-assemble parts and switch on the SRS.
