2008 Ford Crown Victoria Turn Signal Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the turn signal switch on 2008 Ford Crown Victoria?
A: Service and repair operations for the turn signal switch begin with disconnecting the battery ground cable. After disconnecting the battery cable you should remove the steering column tilt release lever/handle. The service of the turn signal switch begins by releasing the upper steering column shroud when you gently press its sides then taking out its three screws before both the upper and lower steering column shrouds detach. Reattach these with a 2 Nm (18 lb-inch) torque setting during reassembly. Separate the three electrical connecters from the multi-function switch and take off the two screws to detach the switch while tightening them to 3 Nm (27 lb-inch) at reinstallation. The installation process ends by running in reverse the steps used for removal.
