How to service the accessory drive belt on 2008 Ford Escape?

In order to service the accessory drive belt, put the vehicle on neutral in a hoist. Unscrew the pin-type retainer, five bolts and right hand splash shield and screw tight to 9 Nm. Turn the tensioner clockwise to take the belt off and fit the new belt by repeating this step.
