How to Service and Repair the Rear Coil Springs and Shock Absorber Assembly on 2008 Ford Expedition?

In order to service the rear shock absorber/spring assembly, discard the upper mount nuts and remove the lower arm. Disassemble spring and the shock absorber, by releasing the tension with a spring compressor. Disassemble, replace the nut and washer, reassemble, being careful to use correct values of torque during assembly.
