How to Service the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2008 Ford F-150?

Service of the Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor requires draining the engine cooling system as the first step. Clean the heater outlet tube O-ring seal then either use a new O-ring seal or proceed with replacement according to necessity before applying engine coolant as lubricant. Position the heater outlet tube aside after removing its bolt and then retighten it to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). You must detach the CMP sensor electrical connector followed by removing the bolts that secure the CMP sensor. Reverse the removal steps and secure the CMP sensor at 3 Nm (27lb-in) before finishing the installation.
