How to Service the Camshaft Position Sensor for the 4.6L (3V) and 5.4L (3V) Engines on 2009 Ford F-150?

The first step for servicing the Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor requires removal of the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe together with the resonator from the LH side of these engines. Detach the CMP sensor electrical connector on both sides before removing the securing bolt of the sensor. A fresh sensor must be bolted to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) torque while its O-ring seal requires oil lubrication with clean engine oil before tight installation. The installation process ends with executing the reverse steps in order to finish the procedure.
