The power steering cooler-to-reservoir hose requires disconnecting by untightening its hose clamp. After removing the steering line clamp plate bolt, the user should rotate the plate and disconnect the power steering cooler from the steering gear before tightening the connection to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft). Detach the two power steering cooler retaining bolts followed by removing the cooler and secure the installation with 11 Nm (8 lb-ft) torque. Perform a reverse order of the removal phase then complete the service by filling the power steering system.
