The removal of four LH exhaust manifold bolts for accessing the horizontal EGR cooler mounting bracket requires taking out the LH exhaust manifold to replace both gaskets and bolts. The procedure which removes the EGR cooler becomes an integral part of the LH exhaust manifold installation process.
