The process requires battery cable locators to be released from the battery tray before removing the bolt which enables terminations positioning aside while subsequent tightening measures need to reach 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Remove the starter solenoid terminal cover followed by the nut removal for positioning the battery cable starter solenoid terminal aside. Tighten this terminal to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) when installing it. Remove the battery cable locator attached to the starter stud bolt and disconnect the three cable locators mounted at the engine's back. After removal of the two nuts from the generator shield reinstall by tightening it to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). Position the generator protective cover to a different area and remove the nut while setting aside the generator B+ terminal and tightening it to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) torque before reinstallation. To complete the battery cable procedure finish by taking out the battery cables then proceed with reversing the removal steps for installation.
