Service and repair of the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor requires emptying the cooling system first. Then unscrew the electrical connector and delete the retaining clip and sensor. The installation of the new sensor is to be done by reversing the removal process. Lastly, fill and bleed the cooling system to make it work properly.
