A suitable tool must be used to lift the armrest before removing both the center console trim cover from all vehicles. The power outlet trim cover requires the removal of its two fasteners before placing it aside. The end of the automatic transmission shift lever cable should detach from its position on the automatic transmission shift lever before gently removing the two tabs and extracting the automatic transmission shift lever cable from the housing. Remove the automatic transmission shift lever by first detaching its electrical connector then removing its securing bolts. To install, place the automatic transmission shift lever in position then bolt it with tightening torque set at 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
