The first step requires users to retrieve the module configuration by executing appropriate steps from the Programmable Module Installation procedure. The first step requires users to take out the battery tray followed by disconnecting the two electrical connectors that control the PCM. Follow this by unwiring the four bolts which attach the PCM and remove the module from its position. Position the PCM into place before securing it with bolts that should be tightened to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). Reconnect the cables of both PCM electrical connectors while putting back the battery tray. The final step includes executing the Parameter Reset procedure to reprogram PATS after following the Programmable Module Installation steps.
