You need to remove the long support bracket bolt from the upper intake manifold while disconnecting the heated PCV electrical connector at the beginning of early build engine service. Remove every retainer from the wiring harness at the upper intake manifold while also separating any cylinder block heater wiring harness retainers when present. Begin this procedure by removing the upper intake manifold short support bracket bolt then proceed to the six bolts which secure the upper intake manifold before discarding the gaskets. Before mounting both intake manifolds check all their sealing surfaces for cleanliness then perform inspections. Utilize fresh gaskets to secure the upper intake manifold through six bolts which need to be tightened to 10 Nm (89 lb-inch) according to a specific order.
