How to Service and Repair the Seat Switch for the Power Seat Memory Set on 2008 Mercury Mountaineer?

Before servicing or repairing the memory set switch of the power seat you must place the gear selector in NEUTRAL position. The first step requires removal of the console trim ring followed by center console door opening to get access to the two screws. A user can start by pulling up on the console finish panel to free its retainers before disconnecting the power point electrical connector which enables full removal of the panel. First release the retainers through pull action and separate the right-hand and left-hand finish panels of the instrument panel center lower part. Continue the separation process with the instrument panel center finish panel. The memory set switch requires you to remove its electrical connector together with the four tabs before taking it out. Bear in mind that the installation requires executing the removal steps in reverse order.
