How to Service the Power Steering Hose from the Steering Gear to the Fluid Cooler on 2009 Ford E-250?

A suitable suction device should be used to extract power steering fluid from the fluid reservoir during power steering line servicing of the steering gear to fluid cooler return hose. First use the clamp compressor to separate the cooler return hose from the hose point and then disconnect the fitting at the steering gear location. Follow all the uninstallation steps in reverse order after tightening the fitting at 20 Nm (177 lb-in). The power steering system needs fluid added as the final stage of the process. All personnel should maintain caution during the entire procedure to stop foreign objects from entering power steering components which can ultimately lead to their failure.
