Pulling or pushing the brake pedal should be avoided when installing or removing the stoplamp switch to prevent any changes or damage to the system. First disconnect the electricity connector attached to the stoplamp switch. The stoplamp switch requires rotating 45 degrees towards the clock direction to separate it from its mounting location. The process to mount the new switch involves doing the opposite of what was done during removal.
