2009 Ford F-150 Brake Disc Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Brake Disc on 2009 Ford F-150?
A: Begin rotor/disc replacement by taking off the wheel together with the tire. Hang the caliper and anchor plate assembly from the brake hose as this will result in damage to the components. The removal operation starts with the detachment of two brake caliper anchor plate bolts which enables placement of the caliper assembly aside using mechanic wire. Mount the brake disc in front to remove it from the hub wheel. Before installation wipe off any rust together with foreign objects from the brake disc and wheel hub with the recommended parts cleaner. The new brake disc should be attached to the wheel hub followed by reinstalling the brake caliper assembly onto the wheel knuckle by using two new bolts which should be tightened to 185 Nm (136 lb-ft). The installation process ends by putting back the wheel together with its tire.
