Service of the crankshaft main bearing seal requires flexplate or flywheel removal and subsequently removing the engine rear cover plate. Install the Crankshaft Rear Oil Slinger Remover inside the Slide Hammer to extract and discard the crankshaft oil slinger. The Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Remover and Slide Hammer should be used to extract and throw away the crankshaft rear seal. Engine oil lubrication of the new crankshaft rear seal must occur before using Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Installers for its installation process. A procedure similar to crankshaft rear seal installation should be followed to lubricate the new crankshaft oil slinger with clean engine oil using Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Installers along with the Crankshaft Rear Oil Slinger Installer. To finish the task replace both the engine rear cover plate with the flexplate or flywheel.
