Organization of the degas bottle assembly requires retaining its 19 Nm (168 lb-in) torque after assembly. The vacuum pump operation requires a one-quarter counterclockwise turn of its thumb screw before setting it aside. The technician should separate the two Battery Junction Box (BJB) bolts before setting the BJB aside while disconnecting primary hood cable A guides from the left inner fender. The driver side cowl side trim panel needs to be removed after unbolted parking brake control nuts are positioned aside with 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) torque settings for reinstallation. The E-clip removal is necessary to release the return spring of the hood latch release handle which allows you to detach primary hood cable A from the hood latch release handle. The final step involves removing primary hood cable A from the engine compartment before installing it in the reverse order.
