In order to fix the hood cable, remove the battery, hood latch and retainers and place the air deflector out of the way. Disconnect the hood cable, hood cable guide, PCM and A-pillar trim. Lastly, remove hood cable and grommet and follow the same procedure in the installation.

In order to fix the primary hood cable, unplug hood cable A in B, take off the connector cover and hood latch. In the case of the gasoline engine, the air cleaner should be removed; the battery on the driver side should be removed on the diesel engine. Take the battery junction box and cowl trim out, install the parts in reverse sequence.
