How to service and repair the primary Hood Cable on 2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

You should start repair or servicing of the primary hood cable by disconnecting primary hood cable A from primary hood cable B and opening the cable connector cover. You should start by disconnecting primary hood cable A then remove the hood latch before removing primary hood cable B along with its guides separation. Start the service and repair process of the primary hood cable by disconnecting A guides from the core support but replace the air cleaner element for gasoline engines or remove the driver side battery for diesel engines. Put the degas bottle assembly to the side following bolt removal while securing the bolts to 19 Nm torque (168 lb-in torque). Drive out the battery junction box (BJB) from the vehicle while also disjoining primary hood cable A guides from the left inner fender. The driver side cowl side trim panel needs removal before accessing the three parking brake control nuts for relocation of the parking brake control until its torque reaches 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). Detach the E-clip then remove the return spring while setting aside the hood latch release handle prior to disconnecting primary hood cable A from its handle. To install the primary hood cable A you will need to pass it through the engine compartment before executing the removal process in reverse.
