How to remove and install the Center Console Base in all on 2009 Ford Focus?

Setting the parking brake lever up to NEUTRAL position is the first step to take when working on the floor console for all vehicles. Drivers of manual transmission vehicles need to remove their gearshift lever knob before working on the gearshift assembly. Pull up the storage compartment door from the floor console and take off the park brake lever boot connected to the park brake lever. To access the park brake lever lift upward on the rear finish panel section until clips release and detach the electrical connector if the vehicle needs such connections. Put the front seats in their farthest position before taking out the 2 screws from the floor console's rear. Adjust the front seats in their rearward position and take out 4 components: 2 middle covers, 3 pushpin retainers and 2 front screws. Take off the floor console after unplugging any connected wirings. To reassemble put the floor console back in place by matching the retaining clip with its corresponding hole in the floor.
