How to service and repair the hood latch on 2009 Ford Focus?

To maintain the hood latch, first remove the radiator grille then take off the 2 latch bolts. Torque them during reinstallation to 11 Nm (97 lb-in). Removal of the release cable Disconnect the release cable by unclamping the conduit and opening the cable. Unscrew the latch and pop it back in using the same procedure.
