One should remove the radiator grille first to begin servicing the hood latch before unfastening the hood latch bolts then reinstall the bolts with a torque of 11 Nm (97 lb-in). Secondly disconnect the hood latch release cable from the hood latch by disconnecting its cable conduit and removing the cable. Follow the reverse steps to put back the hood latch after its removal.
