How to service and repair the front Power Window Motor on 2009 Ford Focus?

The first step for front door window motor maintenance requires removal of the front door speaker. Both removal and installation of the watershield require special caution to avoid contact with adhesive surfaces because such contact could damage re-bonding potential; but additional adhesive can be applied via seam sealer for complete sealing purposes. You should first remove the watershield then fasten the window control switch to make raising or lowering the window and reaching the glass clamp bolts. Before installation tighten the two door window glass clamp bolts to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). Place tape on the window before letting the window regulator reach the lowest point within the regulator tracks. Follow a similar procedure to bolt the three front regulator bolts in place while securing them to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) torque. Access the regulator motor screws by moving the front of the regulator behind where you can reach them. After disconnecting the electrical connector you can remove the three screws which should be tightened to 4 Nm (35 lb-in) when you reinstall the same components. The completion of the removal process involves first rotating the window regulator motor until it releases from its position in the regulator assembly.
