How to service the oil filter on 2009 Ford Fusion?

In order to service the oil filter, place the vehicle on neutral on a hoist. Take the screws off the oil filter access cover, loosen the drain plug and rotate the oil filter cover. Drain, take off the filter and cover and clean off the surfaces and replace with new parts, being careful not to overtighten. Install access cover, where necessary.
