2009 Ford Mustang A/C Condenser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the A/C Condenser Core on All on 2009 Ford Mustang?
A: The first step to repair the HVAC condenser core of all vehicles requires a refrigerant recovery procedure. Set NEUTRAL gear and place the vehicle onto a hoist. You need to remove the condenser inlet fitting nut and disconnect the fitting before discarding the O-ring seal while tightening the new fitting to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) when installing it. The repair of HVAC condenser core for 5.4L (4V) vehicles requires removal of front bumper cover and air deflector detachment from both RH and LH condenser core sides through pin-type retainer removal. Begin by taking off the lower radiator air deflector then unfastening the condenser outlet fitting nut before removing the fitting and discarding its O-ring seal thus securely tightening the new fitting to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) upon installation. Take out the two steering fluid cooler nuts then place the line outside of the way while extracting the condenser core. Follow the reverse order of removal steps while installing the new condenser core and apply new O-ring seals before filling the correct amount of clean PAG oil in the refrigerant system. The refrigerant system requires evacuation followed by leak testing then complete charging.
