2009 Lincoln MKS A/C Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the A/C Switch in the HVAC Module on 2009 Lincoln MKS?
A: A proper HVAC module repair starts with the removal sequence of RH instrument panel finish moulding followed by LH and RH floor console finish mouldings and later the floor console finish panel. To extract the floor-mounted cup holder you must first remove the 4 screws securing it along with the 2 screws fastening the selector lever trim panel. The HVAC module in vehicles without navigation systems becomes accessible by placing the selector lever trim panel in a rearward position to free it from attachment to the HVAC module. After detaching the panel the installer should remove six HVAC module screws to reach the electrical connectors. To begin installation disconnect three electrical connectors of the HVAC module and remove the module from its position. The navigational vehicles need you to first position the selector lever trim panel backward until it breaks free from the floor console front finish panel before you can remove the 4 securing screws to detach the panel. To access the HVAC module removal you should first disconnect the 2 electrical connectors while unscrewing the 2 HVAC module screws and then pull out the HVAC module. The installation process for the new or repaired HVAC module starts by reversing all steps of removal.
