2009 Lincoln MKS A/C Hose Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service the A/C Hose from Compressor to Condenser on 2009 Lincoln MKS?
A: Service of the compressor to condenser discharge line requires a refrigerant recovery process at the beginning of work. After bolt removal from the rear A/C compressor you must tighten it to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) at its final installation. Disconnection of the A/C compressor discharge fitting becomes possible through fitting nut removal and disposal of O-ring seal and gasket seal before tightening the fitting nut to 15 Nm (133 lb-in). Disconnect the A/C pressure transducer electrical connector before removing the condenser inlet fitting nut and disconnecting the fitting which requires discarding both O-ring seal and gasket seal parts while tightening the fitting nut to 15 Nm (133 lb-in) during reinstallation. You should remove the compressor-to-condenser discharge line at this stage. The installation requires reversing all removal steps while inserting new gasket seals and O-ring seals and pouring the correct amount of clean PAG oil. The final task in the process involves evacuation and leak testing followed by refrigerant system charging.
