The servicing process for the rear wiper motor begins with separation of the rear wiper pivot arm. Before continuing disassembling the liftgate you must remove the trim panel exposing the electrical connector leading to the wiper motor system. You need to remove three screws that fasten the rear wiper motor before taking the motor unit out. The new rear wiper motor must be placed onto the liftgate before securing it with three screws at 11 Nm (97 lb-in) torque. To finish the installation sequence attach the rear wiper pivot arm and then connect the electrical connector for the rear wiper motor before putting in the liftgate trim panel.
