  A: All service and repair procedures of the catalytic converter require new fasteners and gaskets with prior cleaning of flange surfaces before gasket installation to achieve proper sealing. Place the vehicle in NEUTRAL mode and secure it on the hoist system. Begin by removing the Y-shape exhaust pipe together with intermediate shafts from all-wheel drive vehicles. The power steering gear shield needs two bolts removal which should be tightened to 15 Nm (133 lb-in) when reinstalling. The technical operation requires uninstalling the roll restrictor bolt followed by driving the engine ahead while tightening it to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft) torque. First disconnect the catalyst monitor sensor electrical connector before loosening and removing the two bracket securing bolts that attach to the right-hand catalytic converter.
