How to remove and install the rear seat cushion on 2009 Lincoln MKZ?

The first step to remove the rear seat cushion is to completely disengage both rear bumper latches then lift the front edge of the cushion slowly to separate it from the floor. Selectively pushing the rear seat cushion forward allows the detachment of its rear section from rear retainers before the cushion can be taken out. When installing the rear seat cushion position the frame wire behind the retainers while keeping the safety belts untwisted and easily available for occupants to access them. The process ends with reinstalling the carpet and other installed parts by following the opposite order of removal.
