How to service the front cross-member for transmission support on 2010 Ford Expedition?

To service the transmission support crossmember, raise the vehicle with transmission in the neutral. Take out the exhaust heat shield fasteners and the skid plate and the transmission mount nuts (tighten to 103 Nm when reattaching). Install the crossmember in the proper position, take away the crossmember bolts and refit and tighten to 90 Nm.
