How to service and repair the front cross-member on 2011 Ford Expedition?

In order to service the transmission support crossmember, make sure that the vehicle is in neutral position on a hoist. Unscrew the skid plate, exhaust heat shield fasteners and the transmission mount nuts (tighten to 103 Nm when reinstalled). Indicate the crossmember where it is to fit, get the crossmember bolts loosened and refitted, tightening to 90 Nm.
