Ford Contour A/C Condenser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an A/C Condenser on Ford Contour?
A: Analysts should start HVAC condenser maintenance by executing the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure. Use left-hand side pins to support the radiator then lift the vehicle into position. Secure the radiator splash shield before performing the procedure to ensure all lines and connections remain sealed through the use of plugs. Extract the air conditioning condenser from the radiator crossmember after disconnecting its upper and lower lines from the condenser. Detach the right along with left-hand side radiator brackets while keeping the radiator fins free from damage. Push the radiator towards the compressor to its maximum while simultaneously detaching the condenser top mountings to perform the removal. The installation process requires reversing the previous steps of removal and a check of normal A/C system operation should be performed. New O-rings need application of refrigerant oil before installation to achieve correct sealing performance and operational functionality.
