Service work on the front crankshaft seal begins by eliminating the crankshaft pulley. The Front Cover Seal Remover Tool (part A) should be used to remove the front cover seal (part B). Application requires engine front cover (part A) alongside front oil seal (part B) to get treated with Super Premium SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil (part number XO-5W30-QSP) or an equivalent product meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G. The Crankshaft Seal Replacer/Cover Aligner comes next to position the crankshaft front seal into the engine front cover. Finally, reinstall the crankshaft pulley.
