Ford E-150 Fuel Pressure Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service the Fuel Pressure Sensor on the Fuel Rail on Ford E-150?
A: Service of the fuel rail pressure and temperature sensor requires safety precautions due to presence of flammable mixtures because of following steps. You must first release the fuel system pressure to stop potential fuel spraying because the system maintains high pressure even after switching off the engine. You should start by disconnecting the battery ground cable followed by removal of the engine cover. Detach the electrical connector, vacuum hose from the fuel rail pressure and temperature sensor after removing its securing bolts. Tighten the bolts by hand and then securely fasten them until they reach 6 Nm torque specification (53 lb-in torque). The O-ring seal must be checked so replace it if needed before performing installation while applying engine oil to the seal. When installation is done return all removed components in the reverse order to finish the procedure.
