You must put the vehicle on a hoist with neutral transmission to service the radiator for the 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L engines. Start by removing the cooling fan and separating the underbody splash shield if present during the service. Before detachment of transmission oil cooler hoses users must ensure proper plug or cap applications. The lower radiator hose needs detaching for removal followed by disconnecting the brackets' four bolts while tightening them to 20 Nm (177 lb-in) after reinstallation. Use new worm drive-type clamps of appropriate size to install the radiator onto your vehicle by following the opposite installation steps.
