How to service the thermostat for 4.6L, 5.4L, and 6.8L engines on Ford E-150?

In order to service the thermostat to 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L engines, drain the cooling system and remove the Air Cleaner outlet pipe and the upper radiator hose. Unscrew the thermostat housing bolts, remove the thermostat and change the O-ring seal. Wipe off, fit in a new O-ring and put back together.
