How to service and repair the water pump on Ford E-250 Econoline?

The first step to work on the water pump involves draining the cooling system fluid. Start by removing the fan with its clutch and then proceed with removing the accessory drive belt. Detach both the lower radiator hose from the water pump and disconnect engine harnesses that attach to the water pump stud and water bypass tube. Moving to the next task involves disconnecting the A/C support bracket by unfastening the nuts followed by bolt elimination and bolt deformation until the bracket can clear away from the work area. First detach all water pump bolts and pulley and afterwards remove the bypass tube and the screw inside. Detaching (A) bolts and (B) stud bolts on (C) water pump enables removal of the water pump from (D) front cover. Clean the gasket surfaces prior to installation by performing the reverse steps of removal.
