    Q: How to remove and replace the Engine Mount insulators on Ford E-250?
    A: The initial step for engine support insulator replacement requires the vehicle to sit in NEUTRAL gear position on a hoist. The procedure to replace the RH engine support insulator requires you to first remove the starter motor and afterward uninstall the 2 bolts while securing the cooling fan shroud onto the cooling fan. Begin by unfastening the 4 exhaust Y-pipe flange nuts and following with the removal of the 4 engine support insulator-to-engine support bracket nuts. A suitable jack positioned at the rear RH end of the cylinder block should lift the engine 25.4 mm (1 in) before removing the engine support insulator-to-crossmember bracket nut and its associated 2 nuts and bracket. The engine support insulator requires removal by executing engine support insulator-to-cylinder block bolts (or bolts and nut) extraction. You should first apply a suitable jack on the LH rear side of the cylinder block to elevate the engine by 25.4 mm (1 in) before extracting the 3 nuts holding the engine support insulator-to-crossmember bracket nuts along with the engine support insulator-to-cylinder block bolts (or bolts and nut) to remove the LH engine support insulator. The procedure for installing new engine support insulators starts with cleaning the interface between the insulator and cylinder block surface followed by the correct positioning of the new insulator before bolt install and torque. The specified torque value is 80 Nm (59 lb-ft). Begin by mounting the crossmember bracket on position before screwing in its two nuts until they reach 90 Nm (66 lb-ft) torque which is followed by installing the crossmember bracket nut as you lower the engine. After installing the 3 nuts on the LH engine support insulator to a torque of 90 Nm (66 lb-ft) position the crossmember bracket before lowering the engine. Concluding the installation process requires installing four exhaust Y-pipe flange nuts to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) then tightening the 4 engine support insulator-to-crossmember bracket nuts to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft). When servicing the RH engine support insulator the starter motor must be reinstalled before putting the cooling fan shroud into position and attaching the 2 bolts which need to be tightened to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
