    Q:
How to Service and Repair the 4R70W Motor and Transmission Mount on Ford E-250 Econoline? Posted by Customer
    A:
Beginning the maintenance operation on 4R70W transmission mount requires lifting the vehicle onto supports. First remove two nuts, one bolt then place the hanger to an appropriate side. Starting with the transmission support crossmember, place a high lift transmission jack beneath the transmission to lift it till the retainer studs become separated from the transmission support crossmember. Disassemble by taking away the one bolt and removing the retainer. Install the retainer followed by the one bolt and tighten them by hand. Lower the transmission and insert the retainer studs through the holes in the crossmember. This will enable the transmission weight to bear fully on the crossmember. After removing the transmission jack proceed to install the hanger along with the bolt before you tighten the retainer-to-extension housing bolts. After performing these actions you must lower the vehicle.
