    A: The service and repair of steering angle sensors requires beginning with steering column cover removal and then continuing to detach the data link harness retainer by taking out its 2 bolts. The instrument panel LH knee bolster requires removal of its 4 retaining bolts. After replacement complete all bolt installation by tightening them to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). The electrical connector of the steering wheel rotation sensor should be detached before removing the 2 holding bolts that need to be tightened to 1 Nm (9 lb-in) torque upon sensor installation. Reinstall the steering wheel rotation sensor by following the opposite installation process from removal steps. Perform IVD Initialization sequence through the scan tool for vehicles that have Roll Stability Control (RSC(R)).
