How to service the thermostat for 4.6L, 5.4L, and 6.8L engines on Ford E-250?

To service the thermostat of 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L engines, empty the cooling system, take out the air cleaner outlet pipe and unscrew the upper radiator hose where necessary. Removal of thermostat bolts, replacement of the thermostat and O-ring, cleaning of surfaces and reassembling followed by filling of the cooling system can be done.
