Commence by taking off the cooling fan then turn the accessory Drive Belt tensioner to the counterclockwise direction for placing the accessory drive belt in position. First move the generator B+ terminal protective cover to reveal it then remove the fastener while placing the B+ terminal away before tightening the fastener to 17 Nm (150 lb-in). Disconnect the generator electrical connector by removing its pin-type retainer clamp as well as the wiring harness. The removal procedure requires the removal of the generator stud nut that will need a 47 Nm (35 lb-ft) torque setting for installation. After extracting the generator stud users must secure it with a torque of 8 Nm (71 lb-in) during reinstall. After removing the RH fender splash shield, loosen the generator bolt followed by generator removal where the bolt needs to be tightened to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft) upon finishing installation.
