How to service the Fog Light Bulb on Ford Edge?

Service the fog lamp bulb begins with placing both the headlamp switch and ignition switch into OFF position. The service requires placing the vehicle into NEUTRAL position on a raised hoist. Detach the fender splash shield by removing its two screws then place the components aside. Disconnection of the electrical connector should be followed by fog lamp bulb removal while maintaining base contact only to prevent personal injury since the bulb holds pressure-filled gas which shatters when dropped or when the glass envelope gets scratched. The glass envelope should not receive touch contact during lamp maintenance procedures. To avoid contamination of the fog lamp which may decrease performance replace the new bulb right after removing the old one. Reinsert all parts into the reverse order to achieve the complete installation process.
